Greetings from New York! It’s week two of my Live My Lifework exchange and I’m having such a great time!
If you are wondering what the Live My Life program is then I’ll take a step back and tell you about how I ended up here.
The Live My Life program is one of the most exciting initiatives the ZenithOptimedia company offers. The highly selective program gives staff the chance to discover a different country and culture and bring their experience back to the office they come from. In order to be awarded their company champion, staff members must go through a vigorous application process. You are encouraged to be creative and have fun with the application, I created a speech, website and video for my application (you can watch the video here). I was over the moon when I found out I was awarded our company champion and was being sent to our New York Performics office to work for two weeks!
So here I am, working in our New York office and I am learning something new every single day. The office here is so different to our Melbourne office, Performics and Zenith are split across two levels and the teams are much larger.
I’m helping out with the “Strategy” team within the Media Planning section of Zenith. The team I am working with manage the media for a popular American fast food chain, Sonic Drive In. I’ve been sitting in on meetings and learning all about how media planning works in comparison to SEO and Content.
This week, I’ll be spending a full day with the Perfomics team and learning more about how the SEO and Performance teams work here.
